Ron's obituary

Ronald Lewis Hill, age 75, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on December 31, 2025, in Leesburg, Florida, following complications related to a recently diagnosed illness. He passed peacefully with his loving wife and four children at his side, while the fifth child, separated by distance, shares in this profound loss.
Ron was born on March 31, 1950, in Morehead City, North Carolina, to Veora Thigpen Hill and I.D. Hill. After graduating high school, he earned his Certified Dental Technician (CDT) credential and went on to build a career marked by excellence, precision, and pride in his work—often referring to his craft as his artwork, and enjoying it so deeply that he also considered it his hobby. In 1972, Ron was drafted into the United States Army, where he served honorably for nearly four years.
Ron took his role as the leader of his family seriously, striving to provide guidance, stability, and care throughout his life. He shared 45 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Ann, and their life together was marked by devotion and commitment.
Ron is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hill, and their five children: Rebecca Hill (Rick), Alina DuBose (Randy), JR DuBose (Candace), Wendy Yoder (Ben), and Andrea Yoder (Alex). He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and eagerly awaited the arrival of his first great-grandson, due in February 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Veora Thigpen Hill and I.D. Hill; his brother, Thomas; his sister, Hilda; and his nephew, Jonathan.
Though his passing leaves a deep loss for those who loved him, his family finds comfort in their faith and in knowing that Ron is now at peace.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the near future. Service details will be shared once finalized.
