Ronald Lee Richardson, 67, of Menifee, CA, passed away on May 7th, 2023.

Ronald was born on September 29th, 1955, to Donald and Sara Richardson in Chandler, Arizona. Ron and his family moved from Pasadena, CA, to San Clemente in 1965.

From early on, Ron was always a very hard worker. He began working in high school, and in 1972 he started working for South Coast Water District. After graduating from San Clemente High School in 1973, he worked at the water district until 1977.

In 1977 he started his own company, Ron’s Backhoe Service, where he was the owner/operator for forty years.

Ron moved to San Juan Capistrano in the early ’80s, where he lived until moving to Menifee in 2019.

Ron married his first wife, Wendy, in 1985. Together they had one child, Shellie Noel, born in 1986.

Ron was an honest and hardworking man and a devoted and loving father.

Ron was also a passionate desert rat, often jumping the desert dunes in his sand rail with his lifelong best friend, Gene.

Ron was predeceased by his father, Donald Richardson. He is survived by his mother, Sara; Daughter, Shellie; Sister, Kathy; and brothers, Bob and John.

There will be a memorial to celebrate Ron’s life on Saturday, July 8th, at 11 am, at Canyon Lake Community Church. Please RSVP so we know how much food to provide.
