The things I remember about my “Uncle” Ron are how ticklish he was. I would tease him just by pointing my finger towards his stomach. It was fun for me but I’m sure not for him!!

Another memory is right after I was starting to drive. I had spent the night in Garden City and he was taking me back to Dodge. He let me drive his car but the sun was right in my eyes. He told me to just keep my eyes on the white line on the right side of the road and I’ll be ok!!  I have used that advice to this day!!

He always had a smile and loved to laugh!!

You will be missed Uncle Ron!! ❤️

I am so grateful that I had the privilege to get to know and become dear friends with Bro. Ron Kaufman. We spent some wonderful days of fellowship talking ministry and encouraging each other in the Lord. We prayed together, ate together, fished together, laughed together and just enjoyed spiritual fellowship. I loved him, respected him, and was always encouraged by his desire to continue to serve the Lord through his declining health. I sure will miss him but I’m so grateful for all the sweet memories. Heaven will be a wonderful reunion. Our love and prayers are with his sweet wife and family, that also mean so much to us.

It is with deep sadness that I received the news of Ron's passing. Words cannot express the gratitude and significance he had in my life.

I will always fondly remember the year 1997/1998, when my exchange program started off as a challenging and lonely experience. That was when Ron stepped in, like a true angel in my life. Together with Carol, he opened not only the doors of his home but also his heart to me. More than an act of kindness, they welcomed me as part of their family, turning what seemed to be a cold and sad journey into a time filled with light, joy, and love.

Those six months were unforgettable. Ron was a generous man, full of life and with a huge heart. He didn’t just offer me a place to stay; he gave me a home, a sense of belonging, and the opportunity to grow and learn through experiences that I will forever hold close to my heart.

I am eternally grateful for everything he did for me. Ron wasn’t just my "exchange dad"—he was a father in every sense of the word. I will miss him deeply, but his memories and the lessons he taught me will remain with me always.

To Carol and the family, I send my heartfelt condolences. May God bring you comfort and may the memories of Ron provide you with peace in this difficult time.

With much love and eternal gratitude,

Letícia
