Ronald Dale "Ronnie" Hurt, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 17, 2025, in his hometown. Born on August 15, 1963, in Louisville, Ronnie spent his life rooted in the community he loved.

A talented carpenter and craftsman, Ronnie was known for his exceptional woodworking skills and drawings  . He poured countless hours into creating custom wooden Harley Davidson plaques and portraits—each piece a testament to his dedication and artistry. His garage was more than just a workspace; it was a haven where he found joy in tinkering and bringing his creative visions to life.Ronnie also loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He would always say he likes the wind in his hair!! 

Ronnie’s legacy lives on through his children: MacKenzie Hurt and her fiancé Cotty, and Rusty Newton and his wife Ashley. He was a proud grandfather to Logan, Ava, Karter, and Jaida. He is also remembered with love by his three siblings: Viki Fresener and her husband Mike, Brandon Hurt, and Celina Burris and her husband Ron. His extended family includes 7 nieces and 2 nephews who will cherish their memories of him.

For the past 18 years, Ronnie shared his life with his partner Shirley Barnes

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Barbara Hurt.

Ronnie’s hands built more than woodwork—they built memories that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
