Ronald's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ronald Hunter, a remarkable man, cowboy, and ardent animal lover. Ronald was born on February 10, 1939, and passed away on January 6, 2024.
Ronald O’Neal Hunter was born to Robert and Ouida Hunter February 10, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. Ronald embarked on his exciting journey as a cowboy at the young age of 13 in 1952, living the life he loved. The milk man delivered the milk via horse and wagon back then and immediately Ronald was mesmerized by the beauty of the animal. From then his milk man taught Ronald how to ride the horse, he knew then he was destined to become a true cowboy. He also served in the Air Force starting from 1956, showing an unyielding commitment to his country. Ronald's love for all creatures, particularly horses, was a testament to his kind and gentle spirit.
Ronald leaves behind a legacy as a great man and an exceptional cowboy. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will surely miss his inspiring presence.
He is survived by his loving partner, Diane Canada. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones; DeAndre Fitzpatrick Jr, Serenity Canada, Knowledge Strawder, Tiffany Canada, also his nieces Sherryl Parks, Rona Parks, Kourtney Parks, and Nikisha Marshall (Teronn), his riding partner, George Stallion and a host of great nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply. A special thanks goes to all of his loved ones from Hickory Hills Senior Apt.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Ouida Hunter. His sister, Barbara Hunter, his brother, Michael Hunter, his nephew, Phillip (Darryl) Hunter and his great nephew Ryan Jernagin. His memories will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
May Ronald's soul find eternal peace, his spirit roam free with the horses he so loved, and his memory continue to inspire us all.
