Ronald's obituary

Ronald Richard Honnick, 74 of Apalachin, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021. He was born on May 23, 1947 to Andrew and Joan Honnick. He graduated from Vestal High School in 1965 and from Delhi College where he studied construction. He worked for Honnick Construction for several years and at other jobs. He was a gifted construction worker, able to drive any heavy equipment with precision. He also was talented with plumbing and electricity. As a mechanic, he could fix cars, trucks, household appliances, but his strongest skill was fixing his beloved Harley Davidson. He took many adventures on his bike and loved the open road. Ron's other talent was gardening, growing beautiful flowers and vegetable by seed. His greenhouse was always filled to the brim and he would sell his plants at Farmer's Markets. He is survived by his son, Andrew Richard Honnick and his fiancé Amanda of Owego, his sister Christine (Honnick) Bates and her husband Bill of Cape Cod, one grandson Austin James Honnick, and one great grandson Waylon. He had a good soul, helping people when they needed it as well as taking in stray animals. He decided to donate his body to science in the hope it will help other people. Funeral services will be held at Coleman and Daniels funeral home in Apalachin, NY June 9, 2021 at 6pm. The family will hold a celebration of life get together on Friday June 11, 2021 from 3pm to 10pm at Hickories Park in Owego Pavillion #5.
