Joann and Family, I’m so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. I will always remember all of you at the Hollis Family Reunion
Ron, Holly or, as Philip Wells nicknamed him, “Hollister” is a beautiful soul. I liked him immediately when he arrived on the Oroville High School campus during the Fall of 1962. For the trivia records, we were the first two OHS boys to wear black, low cut, heavy duty, non-skid, Chuck Taylor, All Star Converse basketball sneakers as daily footwear. Classic!
We have fond memories of Ron, both in Ohio and California.  We were sorry to hear of his passing and we’re praying for his family. I know he will be greatly missed.  We know his faith in God was very genuine and he is enjoying being in the presence of Jesus with a healed body with no more pain.

a wonderful soul has graduated to heaven. He will be missed and remembered as an amazing example for us left behind. Wishing his family peace and condolences until they meet again.

Ron Hollis was a friend and teammate in baseball and football while attending Oroville High School in the early 1960's. He was an excellent pitcher and quarterback ; always a serious competitor, but always with a sense of humor as a balm for defeat. You could not help but like Ronnie. We talked on the phone some weeks ago and I wished him peace and serenity as he had just entered hospice and was playing out the last inning of his full life.
