Ronald's obituary
Ronald Lee Haynie passed away on March 17th, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn and his two children Rachel and Ronald II.
Ronald was born in Amelia, Ohio on the outskirts of Cincinnati where he spent most of his childhood. When he was in his late teens, he spent some time in the navy but left after two years. During this time, he was not studying but always wanted to know more about God. He was able to pursue this interest with a coworker that was a Witness and began to progress from there.
He was baptized on July 11th, 1987 in Louisville, Kentucky which began his lifetime journey of service to Jehovah. He was able to pioneer for seven years and attended the Ministerial Training School in 1994 in St. Louis Missouri. He married Marilyn Ventura on October 20th, 1995 in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
When he brought Marilyn to the United States in 1996, they had their first child, Rachel a year later. They moved around quite a lot, spending time in Vallejo, California and spending five years in St. Augustine, Florida where the second child, Ronald II was born.
In the early 2000's, they followed Ronald's mother to upstate New York to McDonough, a small town about 30 minutes between Cortland and Norwich. After about five years, Ronald wanted his wife to be able to associate with friends from the Philippines and hear her language again. They attended a district convention in Turnersville, New Jersey and visited the Tagalog congregation near Patterson, New York. After some inquires, they made a decision to move to Albany, New York to help out a group that was going to be made into a congregation.
The family has been in Albany ever since, helping out the Tagalog congregation for many years. Ronald and Marilyn recently moved back to English in 2018 but still were supportive of the congregation and now group. He served Jehovah faithfully until the end even when health problems limited what he could do. He continued to be supportive of his children's goals in expanding their ministry and keeping their lives simple to serve Jehovah fully.
Ronald will be missed by many and especially Jehovah who remained a steadfast focus in his life.
