Ronald's obituary
Ronald "Ron//Uncle Ron" Harper, a warm, loyal, and humble man with a great sense of humor, was born on February 27, 1962, and passed away on September 3, 2025. More commonly known amongst his close friends and family as Ron or Uncle Ron, he nevertheless preferred the formality of his full name, Ronald.
Ronald leaves behind his beloved mother, Carolyn Jordan, his son, Jason Harper, and his brothers, Greg Harper and Matt Jordan. He is also survived by a cherished niece, Camden Daniels. Ronald was predeceased by his daughter, April Harper, whose memory he held dear.
A great lover of the simple things in life, Ronald held a deep appreciation for the culinary satisfaction of cheeseburgers, Reese's fast break bars, and pumpkin pie; he also took great delight in the refreshing beverage Orange Crush. He had an affinity for Old Westerns and grew a love for cats while he also enjoyed the tunes of Credence Clearwater Revival, George Jones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Hank Williams Jr. He was a loyal fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, he spent many enjoyable afternoons watching football.
Ronald had a fondness for roofing which he did for many, many years. He was profoundly great at what he did. He also enjoyed playing the board game Trouble, an activity he often indulged in with his niece's as they grew up, creating a trove of cherished memories. His recreational pursuits also included mowing grass and engaging in hearty conversations with friends and family.
Ronald was known for his straightforward approach to life, with a belief that things were either black or white. This honest viewpoint on life made it easy for anyone to connect with Ronald, who was always welcoming and treated everyone as his extended family.
Ronald was an exceptional man and a very simple one. He would do anything for just about anybody, and his kindness and love created a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him. He was a friend to everyone he met, and once you were in Ronald's circle, you were no longer just a friend, but family. His presence will be dearly missed by all his loved ones.
