Dear Debora, Kristen and Cassandra,
I was so very deeply sadden and shocked to learn about Ron’s passing. Please accept my deepest condolences.
Ron was always a gentleman and a truly kind person. He touched the hearts of many in our industry.
I had the great pleasure of being able to work with Ron over these many years, from Bata onward. Ron had a great eye and fashion sense- the best in the industry, and he shared his vision.
It was always a pleasure for me to have an appointment with Ron to show him my “endless bag” of footwear, and our once a year Montreal travel trip to the factory, great cocktails, dinners, wine, conversations and laughter.
He always spoke highly of his “girls” and one could see how proud he was of his daughters and their achievements. We also shared many a laugh about our pets and what they were up to.
Ron always had a positive outlook, he was truthful and willing to share his thoughts and visions. I will always remember his contagious smiling, joy of life and the laugher he shared with his wonderful humor.
Ron always lighted up the room and made everyone feel welcome, a kindness that was true.
May the cherished memories you shared bring you comfort.
Sending my deepest sympathy to you all.

My condolences. Ron’s door was always open to managers visiting H.O., DM’s and anyone in the office. You were guaranteed a smile and a laugh along with a show/education of the latest men’s buy. I thank Ron for his support, positivity, kindness and sharing his knowledge with me.

I have been struggling to find the right words to say. Ron, Ronnie, Ronald and a few others!
Where has 50:years gone? And now you are gone, but never, ever forgotten. I still remember the first time I met you. That big crazy head of hair, pounding away on the keyboard in your parents rec room. Such talent too!
I’m blessed with so many memories. Gordo and I were joking the other night that you introduced us to basmati rice and the best mussels marinera this side of Italy. You could be an annoying pest and the most giving heart all in the same moment. I could go on forever. You were a constant and always there. I will miss you so.
Til we meet again, Joanie xo

I was shocked when I heard the news of Ronald's passing. When I read the obituary, I could hear Ron' ability to tell a story, Fabulous job Cassandra!! I have not seen pictures of you girls for a long time, but you both have received your Mothers good looks and probably much of their strong personalities. There is a saying " Gone but not forgotten" and a time like this you just close your eyes and there he is, being that Father that you will always love so much.
Deb, what can I say to ease your lose and pain! Ron's passing mediately reminded me of my own mortality. I too, like to cook for people, pour strong drinks and entertain. The more the drinks, the funnier more jokes were and my singing better. There is no denning that you had a great Husband, and now you have great Girls that are going to bring Husbands, and children that can help fill the void that was left with Ron's passing.
I don't know you as well as maybe David/Bill could have had I lived closer and kept up contact with your family. But what I have seen is your a very strong personality and you even trained me to put the seat down, and I am hard to Train.
I do not have anything to offer, other than support! I have a phone and a computer and shoulder to lean on!
Your Cousin D.W.

What sad news to hear. Ron was always up for a joke and the life of all those Town parties way back when. I recently came across a great photo of us when Debra and Ron met us for a margarita in Tremblant. He will be missed and remembered. Sending lots of love to his girls.

My Uncle Ron was “One in a Million!”
Anyone who knew him can agree … he was always quick with a witty or sarcastic comment to make everyone laugh! 🥰 Never a dull moment ❤️
We are never ready to say goodbye forever…even though we know it is part of life.💔 Our hearts are heavy for losing someone so special, unique, & supportive. 🥰
I will always treasure… our phone calls when driving home alone, long chats on the back patio with drinkies 🍸 , the AMAZING family dinners you hosted & all of the shenanigans we got up to at the cottages growing up 🥰🤪😂.
We will celebrate the life you lived… remember all of the moments we had together & take your humour with us❤️
You are gone, but not forgotten❤️ your memories will live on within us❤️
As always… I Love You Uncle Ron 💞

Dear Debra, Kristen and Cassandra,
I'm stunned and saddened by this news. Ron was a true gentleman and someone I always enjoyed running into at the club. He always had an upbeat, friendly word - even if it was in the form of a gentle needle. I'll sorely miss his presence there.
Most sincere condolences.

So sorry Deb, Kristen and Cassandra. I have nothing but happy memories and always enjoyed time with Ron - his acerbic wit but never cruel - always teasing. Always interested in how life was with me and my family. We didn't spend much time together the past years but whenever we met, it was never awkward - just a continuation of the last conversation. I'll miss that.
