Miss you Mr. Ron King
!I’m sure you are stirring things up, literally! I will never have a martini, basmati, rice, or mussels marinara, without thinking about you. Till we’re all together again.🍸

I am deeply saddened to discover the passing of my long time friend and co worker. I first met Ron when he was my merchandiser and I was a store manager for Bata in Vancouver in the early 80s....
I then transferred to a buying position in the mid 80s to Toronto and worked together with Ron. We traveled all over the world together and had alot of war stories we shared both good and bad....
He was a great friend and a great person. Always a laugh and a smile.
May he rest in peace and my condolences to Deb and the family.

Ron was always a ray of sunshine at Town Shoes. His positive energy and smile were contagious. There aren't enough adjectives to describe his kindness, talent, humor and more. My heart felt condolences go out to his family and friends. Ron was simply the best.

Dear Deb and family,
I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the celebration . I remember Ron so fondly. I loved his warmth, his smile and sense of humour. He was such a great guy not to mention a fantastic men’s buyer and merchandiser. He was such a pro at what he did and accounted for the success of the mens’ departments at Town Shoes and the Shoe Company.
May his memory be a blessing to all

My good buddy Ronnie.... we were just texting Thursday night while I was out for a walk - how I wish I had've dropped by for that Mart!
So many awesome memories, themed dinner parties, laughs, cocktails, appies, floats and drags off the back of the boat.
I so enjoyed our many chats about life on the back of Chopin, getting caught in the storm and harbouring in ABYC to have Marts and smoked salmon under the tarp in the monsoon! The overnight trip with Sean, Adrienne & Claire to QCYC with Spider weenies on the beach at midnight and you playing that old piano we stumbled across in the shack on the way back. Didn't get out enough the last few summers and was so looking forward to this summer.
And then there were all the crazy fun Elvis weekends at Blue, you twirling Di into the wall, Tish's crazy tickle trunk, you biking into the ditch and me melting your tire on the drive home, cruising and having lunch on Peter's boat, the wine tours, Saturday night in the village, hikes to Craigleith in the monsoon and on top of Old Baldy, the cheese tasting at Elvis and Priscilla's wedding, and of course one of the latest and best memories on Segways on top of Blue!
Gone way too early. Miss you already buddy.
Martini's will never taste the same :(

Debra, Kristen & Cassandra,
I’m so deeply saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. Please accept my condolences. I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Ron at Town Shoes - we were partners. He was always such a gentleman especially when we travelled together. I will always cherish our time spent together- our many fun dinners and drinks in Italy, New York, LA, Las Vegas & more. My thoughts are with you all during this very difficult time.
