Ronald's obituary

Ronald Thomas Goldsmith, affectionately known as Ron, Ronnie, Goldie, Dad, Papa & Pop, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on December 15, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on January 30, 1942, Ron was the eldest son and second-born of four children.

Ron was a man of God and a follower of Jesus Christ. His faith guided his life, shaped his character, and anchored him through every season. Ron was known for his incredible work ethic and ability to outwork just about anyone. His tenacity & strength shaped the man we all knew. A proud Navy veteran and an avid lifelong outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, gardening, and camping. His love of hunting was well known, and his hunting skills legendary.

His life was filled with much success, but he would say his greatest achievement was his family. He led with love, strength, hard work, generosity, and above all, faith. He spent many weekends attending any one of his many grandkids, sporting events, tournaments, recitals & competitions. He was the ultimate family man who enjoyed being with his family above all else.

Ron's wisdom and humor touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Lupe Goldsmith, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Geri Goldsmith. His legacy lives on through his children and their families:

●Rhonda (deceased), daughter; granddaughters Anna and Gabi; great-granddaughters Calliope, Camille, Echo, and Rhapsody; and great-great-grandson Salem.

●Jeannine, daughter; her husband, Darrell; grandson Christopher; and great-grandchildren Claire, Julia, Eleanor, Phoenix, and Knox.

●Garret (deceased), son; his wife Teri; grandchildren Jennifer, Michael, Stephan, and Anthony; and great-grandchildren Charles, James, Lili, Matthew, and Madison.

●Kathy, daughter; her husband, Andre; grandchildren Andre, Juliette, Dominic, and Sophia; and great-grandchildren Anuhea, Julian, Jordan, Evee, Amaura, Apollo, and Isaiah.

●Cindy, daughter; her husband Ron; grandchildren Ronald, Edward, and Daniel; and great-grandchildren Elyse, Cash, Danny Jr., Zoe, and Adeline.

●Alex, son; grandchildren Ryleigh and Maddison; and great-grandchild Delilah

●Ron was also deeply connected to the family his wife, Lupe, brought into his life and cherished those relationships. He shared a special bond with Marcus and Patty, and held close relationships with Bea, Felix and Laura, and Hector, whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by Lupe’s brother Rick, with whom he shared a close and meaningful bond.

Ron’s legacy of faith, love, generosity, hard work, and kindness will live on through each

of them.

A celebration of Ronald’s life and legacy will be held in Lincoln, California, on the afternoon of January 30, 2026. Condolences may be sent to his widow, Lupe Goldsmith.
