Ronald's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Carter, a beloved family man, loving father, and great friend, who lived his life with kindness and generosity. Born on September 5, 1965, Ronald journeyed to his rest on September 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by his family and the community.

Ronald is survived by his dutiful wife, Charlice Young, who was a constant pillar of support and a source of immeasurable strength. He was a proud father to his children, Michael Smith Sr., Gwendolyn Young, and Charlice Buck, who learned under his guiding hands the values of never giving up and always pursuing what one wants in life. These lessons are some of the many ways Ronald's influence will continue to live on in their lives.

Known for his love of fishing, Ronald found joy and peace in simple pleasures. His favorite music by Willie Hutch & Bobby Womack brought him immense happiness, while his favorite film, The Temptations, never failed to uplift his spirits. Above all, Ronald was a family man at heart, his home being the nucleus of his universe. His devotion to his family was palpable, his actions serving as a testament to his love for them.

We invite you to join us for a celebration of Ronald's life, to be held on October 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at 2202 W 3rd St. It is our hope that, as we gather to remember Ronald, we can find solace in sharing memories and honoring his life. Viewing of Ronald will be held at 1:00 PM, 1 hour prior to homegoing services.

Ronald's memory will always serve as a beacon of kindness and generosity. We are blessed to have known him and will hold onto his teachings as we navigate life without him. His spirit will forever live within the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
