Ronald's obituary
Ronald L. Embry, 72, born on November 19, 1950, in Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on April 1, 2023 after bravely facing a prolonged illness due to Agent Orange. Ronald was holding his loving granddaughter’s hand as he entered eternal life. Ronald was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam war. Ronald dedicated his life to the service of his country and his family. His hobbies included reading, listening to music, watching movies, sipping on Diet Dr Pepper, spending time with family, and being a devoted cat lover.
Ronald was preceded in death by his late ex-wife Yu Su Embry; his two sisters, Marie Wilson and Pamela Cartwright; a brother, James H. Embry and mother Gladys Embry. Survivors include his only daughter, Rhonda Norris; granddaughter, Brook (Dan) Stivers; two grandsons, Quinton Norris and Kobe Embry; great granddaughter Evelyn Stivers; sister in law Caroline R. (Bishop); three nephews, Donnie (Joy) Hess; Kevin Clark and Larry Cartwright. Ronald was known and will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor, his stern yet protective nature, and his stubborn yet loving personality. Witty and set in his own ways, Ronald brought laughter and love to those who knew him well. He found joy in being a grandparent, and was over the moon to be a recent great grandparent. He loved his whole family dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Ronald's honor to the PTSD Foundation of America. Contributions can be made at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of…
