Ron's obituary

It is with deep sadness and joyous hearts that we celebrate the life of Ronald "Ron" Brown Jr., who left this world on December 13, 2024, in Pasadena, California. Ron was 57 years old, surrounded by the love of family and friends during his final moments.

Ron was born on February 1, 1967, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where his journey began as the eldest son of a devoted military family. From a young age, he demonstrated a keen sense of curiosity and a strong work ethic, traits that defined his life.

Ron was a beacon of light and laughter to everyone who knew him. An easy-going spirit, he was always ready with a warm smile and a joke to lighten the mood. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, making everyone feel welcome and valued. Whether it was hosting family gatherings, cheering on his daughters at their events, or sharing stories with friends, Ron lived life to the fullest.

Ron was a dedicated professional, serving as Assistant Vice President–Claims Manager at Chubb, where he was known for his dedication and expertise. Through his work, he became a trusted leader, admired for his wisdom, dedication, and generosity. Ron was not only a manager but also a mentor, offering guidance and support to colleagues who valued his deep understanding of the industry.

Ron was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mia, and a proud father to his two daughters, Zobria and Zaria. He will also be missed by his loving mother, Zobria, and his sister, Effie. He is also cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends, and his godmothers. Ron’s family was his greatest treasure, and he held every moment with them close to his heart.

Ron balanced a methodical yet playful spirit, a blend that defined his passions and pursuits. He had a particular love for films and history. He found immense joy in fishing, DJing, and engaging in lively debates, often blending his analytical mind with his lighthearted humor. Whether sharing insights or simply enjoying the moment, Ron brought depth and levity to everything he did.

Ron believed deeply in God and in savoring life’s moments, whether through time spent with loved ones or pursuing his dreams. Among those dreams was his aspiration to one day become a hair stylist, a testament to his multifaceted interests and the joy he found in creativity.

In the meantime, let us all remember Ron for the joy and light he brought into our lives and the love he shared with those he held dear.
