Ronald Albert Durante, 76, passed away on April 6, 2020 due to complications from Covid-19 pneumonia. He was born in Gravesend, Brooklyn, NY on October 31, 1943 to parents Alfred and Jean Durante. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Camille Durante, of whom he married in 1976 and they enjoyed forty-four years of marriage together. He was predeceased by his father Alfred and mother Jean.

Ron was the most generous self-less man who loved spending time with his family, surrounded by good food and great company. Traveling, fishing, and entertaining his friends were his favorite past times. We will always have fond memories of him making cocktails for everyone during the holidays or on vacation at Eagle Beach in Aruba, his happy place. Ron had a lifetime of experiences which turned into stories that he shared with all of us that will not be forgotten.

He is survived by his son, Ronald Durante Jr. (Wife Kathleen), his daughter, Christina Jean Durante (husband Joshua), his grandson, Ronald Durante III, his brothers Eugene Durante (wife Terry predeceased) and Alfred J. Durante (husband William), and nephews Alfred Durante (wife Jeanne), Eugene Durante and James Durante, and great niece, Alexandra Durante.

He will be remembered by his extended family, cousins and lifelong friends.

Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic we will hold a Memorial Mass and celebration of Ron’s life at a future date.
