Ron's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ronald "Ron" Garner, who died on May 9, 2025. Born on December 9, 1961, Ron was a man of immense warmth, wit and love, treasured by all who knew him. His legacy will continue to live on through the lessons he taught, his accomplishments, and those he left behind. This announcement serves both as a celebration of his life and an acknowledgment of our loss.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Amber Garner, his son, Charlie Garner, his daughter-in-law, Cortney Garner, and his grandchildren, Hayden, Jayson, Ledger, and Zaylee Garner. He is also survived by his sisters, Teresa Pereira and Susie Rowen, and his brother, Richard Garner. Ron was predeceased by his beloved mother, Ruth Garner. He was a cherished member of his family and will be dearly missed by them all.
In his life, Ron was an engaged attendee of Alcoholics Anonymous, continuing a commitment to recovery and sobriety. In his work, he achieved great professional success, becoming a Master Automotive Technician for Hoehn Honda. His work ethic and dedication were commendable and his skills unmatched.
Ron had a zest for life and enjoyed simple pleasures. He loved any burger he could get his hands on and was a fan of chili cheese hotdogs. A big coffee lover, he also enjoyed iced tea. His favorite book was The Big Book, while his preferred genres of music included ACDC, The Beatles, and Bob Carlisle. In his downtime, he enjoyed watching Yellowstone, the Chicago Franchise, and the movie A Star is Born.
As a dedicated San Diego sports fan, especially a diehard Padres fan, Ron often expressed his undying support for his teams. He loved playing Scrabble and Yahtzee, and his favorite way to exercise was walking his dog, Franny. Ron loved spending time at the Mainstreet Cafe in Fallbrook, CA, and most importantly, he cherished being around his family and friends.
Ron's life can best be summed up by his favorite saying, "Take it one day at a time, it will get better". He leaves behind a legacy of hope and determination, and his life was a testament to his favorite color, blue, symbolizing trust, wisdom, and confidence. A father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Ron will be truly missed. We feel incredibly lucky to have had him in our lives and his memory will forever hold a treasured place in our hearts.
