Personal note from Vince

Former resident of Saratoga, CA, Ronald J. Casarez was born in 1941 in Miami, AZ to Joseph & Gloria Casarez. Graduate of UC, Berkeley w/ a BS & MS in Electrical Engineering (1971).

He enlisted in the Army in 1958 completing his Medical Training at Fort Bragg, NC. As part of the 108th Airborne Division, he was deployed to Puerto Rico as part of the largest peacetime airlift ever and honorably discharged in June 1964. Ron ran mini-computer design teams for GTE Sylvania and Four Phase Systems then started his company, Wescas & Associates, in 1985 until he retired in 2014.

Ron married Carole Ramme in 1963 and divorced in 1984. Ron is survived by his sister Margaret Sallomi, 3 children: Joseph, Vincent, and Jeannette, and 4 grandchildren: Alex, Veronica, Corrisa, and Julia and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary

Ronald Joseph Casarez, our grandpa, was born to Jose (Joseph) Maria Casarez and Gloria Flin Enriquez on May 31st, 1941 in San Carlos, Arizona. As his mother wrote, he was spoiled not only by the family, but also by the Apache Indians the first six months of his life. Grandpa was baptized on October 12th, 1941 and completed his first communion at St Mark’s on May 23rd, 1948.

Growing up, Grandpa had two working parents. …
