Ronald Blaine Fox age 39 of Springfield, IL, formerly of Connersville passed away on January 18, 2008 in Springfield, IL. Blaine was born on May 4, 1968 in Connersville the son of Ronald D. and Betty Gay York Fox, of Springfield, IL. He is a 1986 graduate of Connersville High School and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Connersville. Blaine had been a 911 dispatcher in Connersville and Janesville, WI until his health no longer permitted him to work. He had served as a reserve deputy for the Fayette County Sheriff Dept. and had been a ham radio operator. He was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother and best friend Benjamin R. Fox of Springfield; He is survived by 4 children, Ashley and Adam Tipton and their mother Nicky Sturgeon Tipton, all of Connersville; and Arik and Max Fox and their mother Jill Steltenpohl Gentry and his step daughter Kira Steltenpohl, all of Machesney Park, IL. He also has many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett “Bud” and Ardis York and his paternal grandparents, Isaac and Lucy Fox.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home with Blaine’s cousin Doug Sturgeon officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M
