I wish I had a lot to say about this wonderful lady as much as your dad. I recall (remembered) staying in the house in 2001 when I was stationed in NOB & cousin Marvin was at Little Creek (always late). She open her doors with a heartwarming smile and treated me as one of her own kids. I will deeply miss her as a very special lady.

She was such a lovely person and somehow, I could understand what she was trying to express to me. She gave me a beautiful spice rack and I have it to this day. She made the BEST Pernil I ever had in my life. She would say "Bring bebe te doy un pene" (Bring me baby (Brycen) I give you Pernil). I would drop off Brycen and pick up Brycen and Pernil.  LOL And she loved the fact that I LOVE to eat.

You will be missed Abuela...I promise I will take care of our boys (Marvin, Brycen and Makaio)...

When Brycen was born no one could tell the Roche family that he didn’t belong to them. They have always treated him like blood and for that I will forever be grateful. When Brycen was about 6 months old it was time for me to go back to work but I didn’t trust anyone with my baby. So Romelia let me and this little baby move from VA into her Far Rockaway Ny apartment. She would take care of him while I worked. She gave me peace so I could help provide for my family. She loved on us so good. I would come home tired and she would come in the room and sit on the bed and just talk to me. I felt so bad sometimes. Half because I was trying to be attentive and not fall asleep. Half because I wasn’t practicing my Spanish and couldn’t respond fast enough. Lol. But her and Tony were great people.
