Hi all. Missing Rog and Lois today. It’s good to know that their situation is not hopeless. The comfort we get from Gods word helps us deal with the sad things that happen like losing loved ones. Thank goodness for hope. I hope everyone in the family is doing well.
To Roger's family and legacy: I say Hi and I hope all is well. In this system of things, the most precious thing is Hope. My hope is to see soon the people we love who have temporarily left us. We will have one heck of a party. Nothing in this world as we know it will bring joy like that. Hope based on faith is so powerful. I can see that day in my head clearly. If we weren't going to live forever why were we ever made in the first place. Belief in God's word = hope. Not believing in God's word = no hope. I choose Hope. OK Rog, get in the batter's box and see if you can handle my fastball.
To any of Roger's family who may have logged in today (or afterwards): I share your sadness today. Roger and Lois were such special people. Your love for Jehovah increased their love for you. I know times are different, and a lot of change has happened in the family, that is not lost on me. I cannot wait til I can hug both of them again in the resurrection. I hope to see you all in line ahead of me. That's my hope. And hope is a great thing. Wow, what a time that will be. I wish the best for all of you.
Hi Lois. I hope you are doing well, though I can't imagine how you must be feeling today. One year without Roger. But one year closer to seeing him again in the resurrection. I'll give you the first day with him. But the next day we are going out and playing ball. You will just have to deal with that. Take care, Mike
Brooklyn, New York Sending condolences to Sis Holloway & family. ALWAYS will remember Roger - (Pops) as a loving, friendly, positive, "down to earth " person. Loved that hair!! Tall, full of energy, welcoming smile joined the many fatherlike brothers at Brooklyn Bridge cong. He is sleeping but a short time, soon we will welcome him back along with many others sleeping. Soon, we will embrace them welcoming them back be it Jehovah's will. Matthew 5:28, 29🙂

Thanks Lois for the Pic of Roger and My Dad. Good Memories them Baptizing Ppl. Love you all. Felicia Johnson-Sparks and My Mom Frances Johnson.
Roger was pretty much my spiritual dad. Not only was he friendly and kind, but he would give me a hard time when I was slacking, missing meetings, not doing what I should have been doing. He cared enough to really push me. No one else did that like Roger. And he was devoted. I remember once him mentioning at the KH that it was their wedding anniversary (20 years?) that night. I remember being amazed that he was at the meeting on such a significant date. He seemed just as amazed that I was amazed. That was Roger. I will never forget him.
