Roger's obituary
Roger died as he lived, with humor, humility, compassion and concern for others.
Roger married Marlene Forslin in Rockford, Illinois on September 29, 1962 and had a full life devoted to family, friends and faith. Roger loved to travel, loved to talk, and loved to add his personal touch to stories. He took great pride in his work and made many friends around the world over the years.
Early in his career Roger worked for W.A. Whitney in Rockford, IL. He eventually rose to National Sales Manager there. He was a vital part of the introduction of new technology for the steel fabrication industry, growing user markets for the Beamline Punching Unit, the Platemaster, the Contourmaster and the Clipmaster. After that he continued working in the structural steel industry for structural fastener distributors, including LeJeune Bolt, Lohr Fasteners and Bristol Machine. In semi-retirement he enjoyed driving school bus, often paying his student riders money for making the honor roll, and helping friends, family and church.
Services on Saturday, December 7th, New Hope Community Church, 33030 Vickers St. NE, Cambridge, MN. A 2 p.m. visitation with coffee and cookies and a 3 p.m. service with dinner to follow.
