Roger's obituary

Roger Alan Harris, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 63, following a long illness.   Mr. Harris was a pillar of love, warmth, and generosity.   His vibrant personality and dedication to lending a helping hand to others left an indelible impression on all who knew him.  He had such a gentle spirit, dedication to those he loved, and countless ways he made life better for the people around him.  

Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Kelly Harris, and their loving children, Sabrina Harris, Roger Harris Jr., Briana Harris, and Gabriel Harris.  His greatest pride and joy were his four beautiful children. He spoke of them often and with immense pride, celebrating their accomplishments and guiding them with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. His role as a father was one he embraced fully, leaving a legacy that will live on through them, filling their lives with cherished memories of his warm smiles, infectious laughter, and boundless love.  

Additionally, Roger is survived by his brothers William Harris Jr, John Harris, Gregory Harris, and Craig Harris, and his sister JoAnne Harris.   He also leaves behind a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and close friends.  Roger's inherent love for family and friends leaves a mixture of sorrow and joy.   

Roger was predeceased by his loving parents, William Harris Sr. and Catherine Frazier, and his dear sister, Karen Harris-Eason.  Their memories remained a driving force behind his actions, pushing him to be the best version of himself.

His family will remember Roger's captivating spirit and enduring kindness.  Though he is no longer with us, his memory will be a guiding light for all, reminding us of the importance of love, generosity, and compassion.  Roger's life was a gift to us all.
