Roger was one of those people that everyone liked. You could be having the worst day, and just talking to him brightened it up. He was a good man, and both he and my mother were lucky to find one another. One bright memory that I have is when my mom and him would be in a heated discussion. Roger would look over with a half smirk and half smile and say, “ yes dear, I’m sorry for (fill in the blank). “ You could not tell if he was sorry or not, but it stopped the discussion. Like many people who knew Roger, I will miss him dearly. I am sure he is in a better place, telling stories and thinking of ways to improve Heaven. Rest in peace.
