Roger Williams Baur Sr. was born on April 18, 1941 in Cairo, IL. The third of six sons to Paul Schuh and Ruth (Williams) Baur, Roger spent his childhood in Cairo, enjoying many adventures with his brothers.
After high school Roger attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. for a year before entering the US Army in 1961. He was very proud of his service as an operating room specialist in Vietnam.
