Rodney Lee Schexnider

May 29, 1964 – January 23, 2025

Rodney Lee Schexnider of Floresville, TX, passed away in San Antonio on January 23, 2025, at the age of 60 after a brief illness.

Born in Aransas Pass, Texas, Rodney was the beloved son of Henry Lee and Shirley Ann (Shultz) Schexnider. He grew up in Rockport, where he learned the ways of the shrimper from his father—a trade that instilled in him a respect for hard work. Rodney later transitioned into the oil field business, where his dedication and strong work ethic shone through.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Rodney served as a volunteer firefighter, always ready to lend a helping hand in times of need. His selfless service and warm spirit made him a respected and cherished figure among those who knew him.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents.

Rodney is survived by his fiancé, Jennifer Hutson, and his children:  Dylan Schexnider,                 Brandon (Rachel) Sain, Fawne (Carlos) Schexnider, Destany (Tyler) Schexnider, Brant (Sabrina) Schexnider, Bri'ana (Dallas) Braxton. Brandi(Michael) Gomez.

He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy and love into his life. In addition his 5 sisters: Anna (John) Morris, Jena (Daniel) Owen, Debra (Danny) Havens, Dianna (Fredie) Eady, and Wendy (Jimmy) Saldivar, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be dearly missed by all who loved him and those who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will hold a private celebration of Rodney's life.
