Rodney's obituary
Rodney Rhodes
May 1, 1966 – February 2, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rodney Rhodes, who left this world on Sunday, February 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Rodney was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of so many with his kindness, loyalty, and adventurous spirit.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Rhodes, and his children, Courtney (Brandon and Elliott) Podojil-Bray, Rodney (Trent) Rhodes Jr., and Cody (Jessica) Hauber. He was the youngest of 13 siblings and is survived by Paula Rhodes, Shirley (Larry) Wentz, Russell (Laura) Rhodes, Georgetta Young, George (Lois) Darrell, Gail (Ron) Revoir, Brenda Rhodes, Ray (Mary) Kirby, and Jackie (Fred) Tackett. He is preceded in death by his sister Faye Darrell and cherished brothers, Jim and John Darrell, as well as his mother, Jessie Rhodes, and Jim Rhodes, whom he spoke of often. Rodney was also blessed with a large number of nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Rodney lived life to the fullest, cherishing every moment spent with his family and friends. Whether traveling, enjoying time at his cabin up north, or cruising the water on his pontoon boat, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for riding his Harley alongside his brothers, sharing the road and the bonds of camaraderie. With an incredibly large circle of friends, Rodney was always the one who showed up—offering his unwavering support, a helping hand, or simply a good time.
His absence leaves an unfillable space in the hearts of those who knew him, but his love, laughter, and unforgettable presence will live on in the memories of all who were lucky enough to call him family or friend.
A celebration of Rodney’s life will be held at the Shielded Souls Clubhouse located at 21038 Middlebelt Road, New Boston, on March 22nd at 4pm, where friends and loved ones can gather to honor and remember the man who meant so much to so many.
Ride free, Rodney. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
