Rod's obituary
Rodney Norman Ledbetter, age 72, of Elkton, Oregon, passed away January 24th in Roseburg, Oregon.
Rod was born on January 5, 1953, to Del and Annie Ledbetter in Tillamook, Oregon. He served in the United States Navy aboard the Naval destroyer, the USS Richard S Edwards, from 1970 to 1974, and was stationed at Pearl Harbor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill.
Rod is survived by his sister, Valerie Parker; his wife of 36 years, Judi; his children, Jayme Walker Hill and Matt Ledbetter; his 3 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madison and Brody; as well as 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition, he leaves behind the 2 children his wife Judi brought into their relationship; Alex Domeno, and Felicia Cameron, and 2 grandchildren, Jake, and Chloe.
His family and friends remember him as a larger-than-life personality who loved his family, his dogs, and nature. The fun and laughter he brought to their lives will be greatly missed. A private family service is planned for a later date.
Rod was an avid defender of all God’s creatures, and his family requests that in lieu of flowers, you consider a donation to Saving Grace Humane Society in his memory.
