Rocky's obituary
Rocky Feller Golding Sr. 63 of Mount Airy passed away at home early Saturday July 27th.
Rocky was born to the late Clay Golding and Clara Grimes Golding on November 11, 1960, in Low Gap, NC.
Rocky worked for years as a construction superintendent and as a free-lance contractor. He loved to build: porches, decks, trim, refurbishing furniture, and making homes look beautiful. He loved his family, telling stories, staying in touch, his sister’s cooking, cookouts, buying and selling cars, and making deals. Rocky is survived by his mother, his siblings: Mary Ann Tate, Leona Moore, Bobby Golding, David Golding, Vickie Moore, Dana Edwards, Mike Golding, and Jody Golding. He was preceded in death by his Father and brother Randy. He was beloved by and devoted to his three children: Myranda Golding, Rockelle Golding, and Rocky Golding Jr. He had six grand children: Brandon, Zach, Shyanne, Blake, Isaiah, Derrick and two Great-Grandchildren: Major and Emerson.
The family will receive family and friends starting at 12pm followed by the memorial service at Moodys Funeral Home (205 W Pine Street in Mount Airy) on Tuesday, July 30th.
