Robyn C. Swanson-Flading passed on August second, after a long illness. Graduated “Phi Theta Kappa” from Trocaire school of nursing. Charge nurse at Sisters of Mercy Convent Infirmary in Buffalo. Nurse instructor in the the use of Apheresis equipment for American Red Cross of Western and Central New York. In home end of life care with Hospice of Erie County. Robyn helped Hospice in the development of a program that they use today to meet special need of patients that are recommended to Hospice, but have not met the need criteria. Robyn was also a Cancer Survivor of 23 years.
Robyn is survived by her husband Jim of 43 years, daughter Rachel Botsford and husband Jeremy of Syracuse NY. Son John Flading of Orchard park, Grandson Luke Flading and two Granddaughters Rhylan and Maura Botsford. Also sisters Rhonda and Roxanne Swanson, R. Halladay Swanson, Renee Calby and brother Richard Swanson.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on August 28th at the Baker Memorial Methodist Church, 345 Main Street, East Aurora N.Y. In lieu of flowers, a page has been set up to help the family with Robyn’s medical expenses.
