Robin's obituary
Robin L. Neill M.S.W. passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
She was born on March 25, 1960 in New Britain, Connecticut to Paul D. and Duane J. Neill of Arlington, TX.
Robin was born in New Britain, CT where she spent much of her youth playing tennis and softball competitively and enjoying summers at Clinton Beach with her family.
She moved to Michigan where she received her Masters of Social Work at Wayne State University. Robin was instrumental in implementing many ground breaking developments and training programs within the mental health system throughout Wayne County and the Grand Rapids area. She worked tirelessly on behalf of the developmentally disabled and mentally ill populations to make sure their voice was heard and that they were treated fairly and humanely.
Robin had a wonderful sense of humor and was always smiling, laughing, and striving to make others happy. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, reading, was an avid walker, and had a well-known passion for extreme weather phenomenon's hence her self given moniker “Stormwatcher”.
Robin is lovingly remembered by her father Paul, sister Kristen, brother-in-law Julian, as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Duane, and her dog Duke who we know welcomed her with open arms and paws when they all reunited.
She is and will continue to be dearly missed but her memory will be kept alive and cherished by her friends and family.
