Robin's obituary
Robin Lynn Holt passed away after a long battle of breast cancer at the age of 69 on January 24, 2025. She was surrounded by loved ones at home.
Robin was born in Dearborn, Michigan to Martha (Tims) Smith and Tom Ernest, and was the second of three daughters. She graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School in Semmes, Alabama. Robin and Kevin Holt were married in Austin, Texas in 1983. As a military family they moved where their country needed them including Texas, Oklahoma, and Ohio, before finally settling and retiring in San Antonio, Texas.
She was a committed follower of Christ and was involved in many church and Messianic synagogue communities. As a stay-at-home mom and homeschool parent for many years, she was a dedicated mother to three children of her own who brought her much joy. In more recent years, she enjoyed being a grandmother and caring for her grandson. Robin’s quilting hobby turned into a passion that produced many beautiful blankets gifted to family members and friends. She will be remembered for many generations by those who will wrap themselves in the fruits of her love, labor, and prayer.
Robin is survived by her husband, Kevin Holt; son, Benjamin; son, Jacob and daughter-in-law, Maria, and grandson, Winston; daughter, Emily and future son-in-law, Christian Geen; sister, Ann Wilkie and family; sister, Wendy Kelly and family; sister-in-law, Nasha Holt and family; brother-in-law, Scott Holt; and many grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, step father, mother-in-law, and father-in-law.
A celebration of life was held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter 2 (San Antonio, TX).
