Roberta Sweet, 76, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away on August 04, 2024.

Roberta was born on February 8, 2024 to Robert and Eleanor Heald in Chicago, Illinois.   After graduating from Metro High School in 1966.  In 1969, she met Dennis Dunek, and they wed in 1970, going on to have 1 child, Robert.

When Roberta had Robert, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Roberta later left Dennis to be wedded with Gary, the love of her life.  Roberta excelled at propping up Gary and Robert and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Roberta when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her church. We will miss her greatly.

Roberta was predeceased by Robert Heald, her father, Eleanor Osterkamp, her mother, and Gary Sweet, her husband. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Bill and Susie Heald and their son, Thomas Heald.  She is also survived by her son's family, Robert, Irma and AJ Sweet.  The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Salem United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids Iowa. There will be a celebration of life at Grace Fellowship Church on Tuesday, August 6th from 3-5pm at Anamosa, Iowa.
