We feel truly blessed to have known Roberta as a co-worker at LASD as well as a parent at Blach. She was an amazing lady that positively influenced so many people!

Sending much love to your beautiful family. Roberta was a sunshine and I always remember her planting her beautiful garden when taking the dog for a walk around the neighborhood. Always so kind and effervescent. She will always be with you.
Much love,
Ursula and Gabriela Shultz

When Roberta and I would visit she always made me laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humor.

Roberta was a special friend and neighbor to me for many years. We shared a love for gardening. Her garden was always blooming and everything was in its place! She shared her “ Pink Ladies “ with me and now as they return every year I will think of Roberta. I will also think about Roberta passing while passing her lovely garden.

Roberta was a dear friend and neighbor. Her kindness and generosity represented a beautiful soul. I think of her every day when I pass her house and I look up at the sky and tell her how much she is missed.
Fondly, Margot

Dear Frank and Family, Steve and I are so saddened to hear of the loss of Roberta, our dear friend for 46 years. I met her at Egan when we became classroom neighbors. Those early years were such fun in our just- married times as we became friends at school and away from the classroom. Years later, it was such a joy to see her at the SF Ballet where we shared a love of ballet. She so loved her children and dear grandchildren. I will always remember her love of teaching, her love of flowers, her thirst for travel, her contagious sense of humor and her spirit that exemplified always doing her best in whatever the task. I will miss her sparkling personality and joie de vivre. ❤️

Roberta
I was saddened to hear that, our California Dreamin' Girl. has left us. Roberta, wearing her poodle skirts, cinch belts and printed scarves was a true icon of the 60’s. For years, when this Pretty Woman and I worked together on plays and assembly skits, she continually exuded Good Vibrations. There Wasn’t Any Mountain High Enough to deter her from her goal. As Tony Benet would say, She Led the Good Life. Thanks For the Memories Roberta!

I first met Roberta when I was a 5th grade classroom teacher at Almond over 12 years ago. She was my students’ music teacher 🎶 —always so full of energy, joy, and enthusiasm. Several years later, when I changed into teaching music myself, Roberta was one of my biggest supporters. She often checked in on me, offered guidance, and shared her wisdom.
Although she was officially retired, Roberta continued to give back by substitute teaching for Music and even served as a long-term sub last school year. I’ll always appreciate her “can-do” attitude and the kindness she showed to everyone around her.
Dear Roberta will be sorely missed, but her legacy will live on in the many students she taught and the colleagues she inspired throughout her remarkable career.

Dear Frank, Angela, Anthony and family; What a blessing to have 35 memorable years of witnessing Roberta's enthusiastic love of nature with her front yard gardening, love of music playing the piano or hosting Frank and musician friends' horn concerts; and, her love of teaching that encouraged our children to play and learn together as they matured into adults. Roberta's high level of energy often mimicked the Eveready battery bunny who would keep moving and going forward, despite the decreasing power. In her own way Roberta demonstrated a resilience to overcome health challenges despite increasing levels of pain and discomfort. We will miss Roberta's boundless kind spirit now resting in peace. As a neighbor and friend she will always be cherished.

Mrs. Robertson was my husband and my elementary school music teacher. It was our great pleasure when we became friends with Nichole, Roberta's daughter-in-law, and our kids became friends. We enjoyed seeing Roberta at birthday parties and having swim play dates at her house. Sending our love to Anthony and his family.

Mrs Robertson! This is Gilbert Hwang one of your students from long ago. I will always remember your boundless energy and passion for music and your love and dedication to us students even though we were quite unruly at times. I will never forget the bright colors you always wore and the optimism you brought to us each and every day. Maybe we were too young to understand at the time, but in hindsight you were truly one of the greatest teachers of our generation - you taught us to enjoy the moment and to do our best. We love you Mrs. Robertson!

Dear Robertson Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Roberta was a wonderful person - and so much fun! I have great memories of chaperoning the Disney trip with her and Egan's 8th grade musicians (a very long time ago!) when they traveled by plane, not bus. Such good times! And then there is the Boy Scout connection with my late husband, Jon, and our son, Scott. I know your family will miss her very much, but you are not alone. She was loved by many, to be sure. Your good memories will always be there.

I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Roberta. We were colleagues in Los Altos, and I will always cherish the time I had getting to know her. I so enjoyed our conversations, especially when she spoke with such joy and anticipation about her next adventure. She was truly beautiful inside and out, and her kindness and warmth touched everyone around her. She will be dearly missed.
