Roberta “Bobbie”'s obituary

In Loving Memory of Bobbie Ress

April 29, 1946 – May 29, 2025

Bobbie Ress, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 29, 1946, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of so many.

Bobbie was the daughter of the late Eleanor Holmes and Lawrence Ress. She was one of fourteen siblings and is survived by Millie Schumann, Judy Duncan, Gail Holmes, Larry Ress, and Bob Ress. She was preceded in death by her siblings Tommy Ress, Dale Holmes, Terry Ress, Jerry Ress, Bonnie Ress, and David Ress.

She is lovingly remembered by her three sons: Rick Reszler Jr., Steve Reszler, and James Richards (Molly Richards), and her grandchildren: Stephanie Jones (Keenan Jones), Jesse Richards, and the late Brent Reszler. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jameson Jones. Bobbie also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, and countless friends who loved her like family.

Bobbie dedicated over 50 years to a career in the mortgage industry before retiring in 2024. Her work ethic was matched only by the deep care she had for others—whether in her professional life or personal relationships. She was a guiding light, a source of comfort, and a constant source of support to many.

Known affectionately as “Grandma” by not just her grandchildren, but by many whose lives she touched, Bobbie had a unique way of making everyone feel at home. Her love for her family was unwavering, and her door—and heart—were always open.

Her spirit, strength, and compassion will live on in all who knew and loved her.
