Background

Roberta was the definition of joy and kindness. She loved ALL living things with her whole heart and would do just about anything to help someone in distress or pain. She was an avid animal lover and rescued many dogs throughout her lifetime including Freckles, Shadow, Goldie, Lily and Emily. Still with us today are Sammy and Jack who miss her dearly. A donation to the ASPCA would be a beautiful gesture.
In addition, Roberta supported the Susan G. Komen Foundation throughout her lifetime as both a former nurse, and friend to those affected by breast cancer. She was an avid champion of women's reproductive rights and believed in health care access for all.

Lastly, Roberta was deeply disturbed by the war in Ukraine. Before she passed, she was collecting $20 bills from any neighbor who would contribute, with handwritten envelopes, addressed and ready to be sent to the Embassy. This was Bart. Anything she could do to help anyone in distress; she would not hesitate. Should you wish to honor Bart, a donation to UNICEF in Ukraine would be a beautiful gesture.
