Bob's obituary
In loving memory of our father, Robert "Bob" Zawacki, who passed away on June 09, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Janell Culp- the love of his life for the past 41 years. He leaves behind three children, Jessica, Corey, and Emma. Bob was the fifth of 10 children, born to Roman and Gail Zawacki. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Michael, and his sisters, Melanie and Linda. He is survived by brothers and sisters: Diane Lamielle (Harry), Jerry Zawacki, Jim Zawacki (Nancy), Michael Joyce, Sharon Everly, Alyce Corbin (Milt), Paul Zawacki (Dana). Also survived by countless nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and great-nieces. His nicknames were numerous, but his favorite name of all was, "Paw" who his two precious grandchildren affectionately called him, the lights of his life, Roman Michael and Nora Elizabeth.
Although he was one of the most stubborn men on this planet, our father was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage and his love for his family was deep.
Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. But Dad worked to live, and he lived for us. He lived for our mother, her happiness was everything to him; he and mom took care of the barn animals every morning and every evening for the past 20 years. His family extended to those on four legs, he loved his hunting dogs Izzy and Wally, and his Sadie. He was a man of faith, having been raised in the Catholic Church.
When not with the family, he was up at his cabin with his Club, where he spent weekends hunting with one of his closest friends Tony Gregorio and the late Mario Gregorio. Fishing, hunting, or doing work around the cabin he loved his weekends away with his extended family.
Funeral mass will be held in Dad's memory on Friday, June 17th at 11am at Saint Thomas Moore Parish in Pottstown PA. The family will be available for visitation at the church between 10am-11am.
