Robert's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Williams Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Williams was born on March 23, 1945, and departed from us on November 4, 2024. He lived his life as a kind-hearted man, who was stern but loving and happy with life’s blessings.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lee Williams, his son, Robert Williams Jr., his daughter, Chante Butler (Michael Butler), and his beloved grandchildren; Khayla Pennix, Tahir Qayyum, Amirah Qayyum, and Cason Butler. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Daniel F. Williams Sr., and Viola Davis Williams; and his siblings Frank Williams, Lucille Williams, Herman Rodwell Williams, and Daniel Williams Jr.
A man of simple pleasures, Robert's favorite television shows were classics like Gunsmoke and Lawman. He delighted in cheering for his favorite sports team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Having learned to cook from his mother, Robert enjoyed making homemade family meals for his family. When he wasn't indulging in his favorite past-times, Robert loved to relax, and particularly enjoyed his time spent in Aruba.
Robert's greatest accomplishment was building a close-knit family that he loved dearly. The lessons he shared: to be respectful and love one another are an integral part of his legacy. His strong belief in putting one's affairs in order and the importance of being there for one another is part of his lasting legacy that will continue to influence and guide his family.
Robert Williams Sr. lived a full and meaningful life. His absence will be keenly felt by those who had the privilege to know and love him. His memory will be cherished forever, and his life celebrated for the love and joy he brought to all who knew him.
