Bob's obituary

BOB WEBBER, March 30,1946 – January 24, 2024

A resident of Medford Oregon, Robert H. (Bob) Webber, 77, passed away suddenly of a ruptured aortic aneurysm on January 24, 2024. Born in Berkeley CA on March 30,1946, Bob was adopted at birth by Henry & Maxine Webber. He was raised in Pleasant Hill CA and attended Pleasant Hill High School. His parents both passed away by the time he was 15. Bob married the first time to Jackie Hayes at age 16, had two boys, and they were married for 13 years. He married his wife Kris in 1979. Bob resided in Contra Costa County for over 60 years before moving to Paradise CA. After losing their home in the fire there, he and Kris moved to Medford OR in 2019.

Bob was a natural mechanic and could fix just about anything. He was employed by various auto shops in the Bay Area. In 1979 he became a partner in his own repair business, Autos International in Concord CA. He retired in 1996 at age 50. For the past 26 years Bob and Kris enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, across the country numerous times, and to Alaska and back. He and Kris spent every summer at Lake Almanor CA since the year 2000. They also enjoyed many winters in Mesa AZ and Palm Springs CA in the motorhome. An avid golfer, that was something Bob enjoyed everywhere they traveled.

Bob was a devoted Christian. Since committing their lives to Christ in 1987, Bob and Kris said they had a marriage that was truly made in heaven. They most recently attended MTN Church in Medford. We are assured that Bob is with his Savior Jesus, but his passing will leave an empty place in many lives. Bob loved life and made friends everywhere he went. He was an honest man of good character and always kept his word. Bob had a smile that will be missed by so many who considered him a close friend and confidante, and by those who contacted him regularly for advice or just needed a helping hand.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Kris of 44 years; his sons Robert and Dean, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by grandson Blake. A Celebration of Life is planned at Lake Almanor for Saturday, June 22nd at 1 pm at Mt Lassen Community Church, 200 Main St, Chester CA.
