Bob's obituary

Dearborn Heights, MI – Robert “Bob” Wayne Duncan passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 75 after a long life of playing hard. He was born in Wyandotte, MI, to James and Candy Duncan on June 26, 1950.

Bob was a proud veteran of the Air Force, in which he served from 1968–1972. After leaving the Air Force, he attended Washtenaw County Community College and Henry Ford Community College, graduating with his associate’s degree in Traffic and Transportation. While earning his degree, he began a 38-year career at General Motors Hydra-Matic as a hi-lo driver and foreman.

Bob loved fishing, riding his Harley, reading Stephen King novels, and spending time with his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Wanda and Kathy; and his great-grandson, Bryce. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, Shane (Michelle), Nikkii (Dave), and Erin (Aashish); his sister, Wilda; his grandchildren, Alisha (Jorden), Jillian (Ryan), Jackie, R.J., James, and David; and his great-grandson, Sean.

Bob was known for his tight hugs, his unforgettable stories—including knocking his father-in-law’s tooth out—and being a bonus dad to many. A memorial will be held at a later date.
