Robert  Walter Pearson, affectionately known as "Rob" of Capitol Heights, MD, passed away on July 09, 2022 after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Rob was born on February 10, 1954 to Johnnie and Annie Pearson in Freeport, IL.  After graduating from Freeport High School  where he was a star football player, Robert attended Northern Illinois University where he majored in Political Science and met his future wife Wilma. Rob joined the United States Army in 1976. In 1977, Rob and Wilma wed and went on to have two beautiful daughters, Robyn Nicole and Kourtney Danielle. Upon leaving the military, Rob went on to establish his own business  in the Pest Control Industry. He later retired in 2018 and remained active with his hobbies, helping friends and spending time with family. His passions were his family, fishing, landscaping and the Chicago Bears.

 Rob was predeceased by his parents Johnnie and Annie Pearson and his four brothers Johnnie Pearson Jr., George Pearson, Willie A. Pearson and Kelvin L. Pearson. He is survived by his wife Wilma Pearson, daughters Robyn (Tobi) Olafisoye, and Kourtney (Paul) Pearson and 3 grandchildren, Parker, Zoe, and Zara Olafisoye and seven sisters, Lena Mae Allen, Jr., Annie(Ocie) Love, Delores Blake III, Carolyn (Hilton) Simien, Joy (Gerald )McGee, Marsovena (Robert)Perrin and Gail Parker, along with a host of great friends.  Rob loved sharing his knowledge of fishing with his family and friends and provided them many life lessons along the way. The family requests flowers and cards be sent to Wilma Pearson .
