Robert Eugene Truitt, Jr.

Robert Eugene Truitt, Jr., age 57, tragically lost his life on August 1, 2025, due to a hit-and-run accident in Smith County, Texas. Born on March 12, 1968, Robert lived a life marked by resilience, kindness, and an enduring love for his boys.

He is survived by his sons, Bobby Truitt of Oklahoma and Zach Houser of Florida; his biological father, Robert E. Truitt, Sr.; his mother, Dianne Tyner; his brother, Jason Truitt (Kelli); and his sister, Stacey Hodges (Chris). Robert will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of adventure and travel, and his goofy personality.

He was preceded in death by his loving adoptive parents, Merle and Leo Richard of Colorado, who raised him with care and provided a strong foundation for the man he became.

Robert’s sudden passing leaves a void that can never be filled. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
