Robert Edward Trace, aged 84, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Middleburg, FL. Born on September 17, 1941 in Norfolk, Virginia, Robert was known for his jokes and kindness, and easy spirit.

Robert proudly served in the Army, where he connected with fellow servicemen and women who shared his dedication and discipline. He spent over 20 years to Jax Car Sales where his charisma and reliability made him a favorite among customers and colleagues alike.

An avid fisherman, Robert found peace and joy in fishing, often spending his free time by the water, and shared his love for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life with his children.

Robert leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his spouse, Melba Trace; children, Bobby Trace (Patty Trace), Joanie Trace, and Mike Trace (Christina Trace); grandchildren, Kelsey, Tiffany, Brittany, Mikey, Julia, Jt, Connor, Matt, Brandon, and Brandi; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Robert Trace.

A gathering to honor Robert's life will be held at the Orange Park Golden Corral on Saturday, January 3, 2026. His life will be celebrated among family and friends, reflecting on the joy and laughter he brought into their lives. A Memorial Gathering will be held on January 3, 2026, at 02:00 PM at Golden Corral 582 Blanding Blvd
