Robert's obituary
He is survived by his wife Mary, his two daughters Marisa and Christy, and his grandsons Nicholas and Liam,
In the fall of 1958 his family moved from East LA to La Puente, CA.
Bob’s first school was Erwin Elementary....a funny story was that Bob and his neighbor friend Sam Morales ran away from their Kindergarten class.
Bob attended Edgewood Jr High from the 7th through the 9th grade, and Bassett High School from the 10th grade to graduation.
Bob excelled in baseball in Jr High and in High School. His high school Baseball Coach was a scout for the Baltimore Orioles. Bob was all CIF in the high school baseball playoffs. Bob's parents were avid baseball fans. In the summer between his Junior and his Senior year, he pitched batting practice for Mount San Antonio College, where he injured his shoulder because of pitching too much and his pitching career was over. Despite his injury he played in the Connie Mac Baseball League (hall of fame baseball player), this was by invitation only, a great honor to be invited.
Bob decided to be a Sheet Metal Worker Apprentice upon graduation from high school. Bob and his brother Mario got into the Los Angeles/Local 108 apprenticeship in July 1972, 3 days apart. They graduated from the Apprenticeship and became Journeymen in June of 1976. Bob was a loyal union member like his brother Mario and dad Victor Teran. Bob held various offices as an active member. In 2001, Local 108 became Local 105. The officer position that Bob held were Warden, Local Union Trustee and Executive Board member. He was also Shop Steward for our largest Sheet Metal Contractor ACCO (Air Conditioning CO). Bob retired from Local 105 in 2007 and was active in the Los Angeles Sheet Metal Retirees Club.
