My condolences to Bob's family. Bob was a fellow pilot and a friend of mine going back to when we were both active in local EAA Chapter 242 in Columbia. Years later I joined a group of retired guys for lunch once a month and Bob was in the group. Bob led a full and exciting life as I learned over the years from the many stories he shared. I also know he was very close to his wife and family and they traveled a lot as a family. He was very proud of them. The last couple of years after he could no longer drive I would pick him up at Still Hopes as I know he enjoyed getting out with the group. When I dropped him off in December before the holidays I wished him a Happy Birthday.  On the Monday before he passed I texted him a "Happy New Year! Can you do lunch on the 23rd?". His response was "Sure". It's hard to believe he's gone. He will be missed.
