Robert “Bob” Hedges Smith, 56, of Chandler, AZ, passed away on May 21, 2024. He entered this world on July 24, 1967, and led a life of love, humility, respect for all people, and dedication to his family.

Bob was an Arizona native, born to Donald and Barbara Smith. He attended Tavan Elementarty School, Ingleside Junior High School and was a graduate of Arcadia High School (1985), Arizona State University (1990) and received his J.D. from the University of Arizona Law School (1994). He served the City of Phoenix Prosecutor’s Office for 29 years. Bob is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kirsten Smith, his children Madison, Jacob, Jenna, Samantha, and Sawyer Smith, mother Barbara Petersen, and siblings Tara Hook, Scott Sanders (Cindy), Tony Smith (Trish) and his Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Donald in 1998.

He was a loving, loyal, supportive, compassionate, romantic, caring, dependable and amazing husband and father for our Smith “Fulhaus”. He was our biggest cheerleader and loved playing games, watching movies, listening to music, or just hanging out. He loved traveling and the time spent together on the numerous road trips we took and exploring new places. He loved his family deeply.

For many years Bob enjoyed serving his community through coaching and developing a love of soccer in his players on the pitch.

He valued the relationships that he built with his players and their families.

He was passionate about his career and cherished the relationships made over the years.

He treasured the friendships he kindled throughout his life.

We will all miss him deeply.
