I worked for this kind man as his dental assistant for many years at his pediatric dental practice in Parkville MD. He truly cared about his patients and treated his staff like family. My heart goes out to his family and friends for your great loss.
I have just learned of his passing, so very sad.
Ellen I know your heart will never be the same, I am so sorry.

Mark had been with me for 24 years..he was family! My daughter & son considered him the Dad they never had. He was the only Grandfather that my grandson ever knew. We miss him more than I can say. no more worries for him, I'm glad for that. Hail the traveler!

Dear Betty, Amy, and Eric,
I want to express our condolences to you all on behalf of Christine and myself as you grieve this apparently unexpected loss of Mark - husband and father.
We were in Kayenta together and many friendships were formed but the best for me was the one with your dad. We discussed everything from music, sports, and photography to space, time, and philosophy. He had a healthy dose of skepticism and, through him, I learned to keep my eyes open a little bit wider.
A photo was taken while in Kayenta of the doctors, dentists, and engineers - comically dressed as “immigrants to the American West, as you’re probably well aware, that has been framed and hanging in my home for close to 50 years. Whenever I look at it I still get a sweet measure of nostalgic memory, but now, it will also bring a sadness. But a good one.
May you find Peace and Comfort in these coming days.

Dear Betty, Amy, and Eric, my condolences on Mark's passing. We worked together at Kayenta in the 1970's. Mark was a friend to me, since he had also worked in a lab, I think while going to college. Betty, thanks for letting Susan know of Mark's death and to her for letting me know. Sad. My thoughts are with you three and so many others Mark loved and who loved him in the 50 years since our time in Arizona. Sincerely, Dorothy Fulks
