Bob's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Scott, who left this world on May 8, 2023 at the age of 82. Born on June 15, 1940, a son of the late Embra Leonard and Pearl Julia (McMillan) Scott. He was united in marriage to Joyce Dutcher in Holly Springs Mississippi on April 20, 1959

Bob was a 1958 graduate of Eldon High School.

Bob lived a fulfilling life marked by immense kindness, a caring nature, and a commitment to loving the people around him. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Bob's life was rich with various pursuits and accomplishments. A proud veteran, he served his country in the military and later found success as a business owner. His enterprises, which included Bob's Mobile Station, Scott's Leather Repair and Bob and Dave's Auto, showcased his entrepreneurial spirit and love for serving his community.

However, it was Bob's unparalleled passion for horse riding that left an indelible mark on those who knew him. He not only trained horses but also participated in the competitive sport of Team Penning. This love for horses led him to impart the wisdom of always cherishing the people around you and finding joy in riding horses.

He is survived by his wife: Joyce; sons: Brian Scott (Ann), Nicholas Scott (Abby) and Anthony Scott (Ashley); daughters: Renate Brodecker (Craig) and Melissa Upton (Bill); sisters: Doris Taggart, Katherine Clark, and Vivian Brady; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. And many adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by hisparents; and siblings: Ed Scott, Leonard Scott, Randy Scott,Michael Scott and Betty Brady.

As we mourn the loss of Robert "Bob" Scott, we celebrate the lessons he shared, the lives he touched, and the many achievements that made him a beacon of kindness, care, and accomplishment. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.  Until we ride again.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, June 10, 2023 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Eldon Community Center; 309 E. Second Street, Eldon, MO, 65026
