Robert was born on March 2, 1968, in Tonopah. He was discovered as an infant outside the Tonopah Air Station Family Services Building and grew up in the Silver Ridge Children’s Home. Despite the challenges of a childhood spent in the Nevada orphanage system, Robert stood out early for his remarkable mechanical ability and quiet determination.
