Robert's obituary

Robert Ralph Pignatiello passed away on June 23rd, 2025 at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He was 64 years old.

A resident of Blue Island, Illinois, he was born December 27, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. Bob, as he was known, was a lifelong lover of music. Rock and roll was his passion and he was dedicated to being a drummer, despite having lost his right hand in a tragic accident at the age of 21. Thanks to a prosthetic created for him he was able to continue drumming for many years. Because he had one arm, he was chosen as an extra for the 1993 movie "The Fugitive", where he is featured prominently for one brief scene.

Bob is survived by his two sons, Thomas James (TJ) and Collin Robert; their mother Susan Drechney and a sister Anne Baader (Pignatiello). He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Pignatiello (Nesci) and his father Ralph Pignatiello, Jr.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
